PHP is a server-side scripting language designed for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming language. Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf, the implementation of PHP is now produced by The PHP Group. PHP costs nothing, it is free to use and runs on various platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix, Mac OS X, etc.)

PHP 5 Installation

To start using PHP, you can:

1. Find a web host with PHP and MySQL support (Hostgator, Bluehost, Dreamhost).
